Cotton fabric - PANEL Advent calendar - Small bags & socks - Winter Wonders

There are 24 rectangles on one panel, each of which can be sewn together to make a small bag. You can also sew a sock (or two if you also use fabric for the back).
A finished bag is approximately 7.5 x 10 cm in size. The sock is approximately 40 cm high.

Additionally required:

- satin ribbon/thin cord/ribbon for the drawstring
- Backing fabric if two socks are to be sewn

• Material: 100% cotton
• Panel dimensions: approx. 53 x 170 cm
• Weight: approx. 160 g/m²
• Washable up to a temperature of 30 degrees, on a gentle cycle (delicate wash/easy-care program)
• Do not bleach
• Ironable level 1, up to a maximum of 110 degrees, preferably without steam

Instructions for the bag:

1. Cut out all the pieces along the lines. Now you have 24 rectangles.
2. If you want, you can neaten the edges of the fabric to prevent it from fraying.
3. Fold the top edge of the fabric inwards twice (approx. 1.5cm) to form a tunnel for the cord. Pin the tunnel in place and sew it close to the bottom edge. Make sure to leave the ends open so that the cord can be pulled through later.
4. Fold the rectangle right sides together so that the pretty side is inside. Sew the sides of the bag together, starting just below the drawstring and down to the bottom.
5. Turn the bag over.
6. Cut a piece of ribbon that is about one and a half times the width of the bag. Using a blunt needle or safety pin, thread the ribbon through the drawstring. Tie a knot between the two ends. Repeat this step once more in reverse.
7. Your bag is ready.
